My paintings and original hand-pulled prints are reflections of my human experience. My subjects reflect my environment and my relationship with them. I am inspired by people and places that evoke an emotional response, feelings of nostalgia and comfort.
Kelley Vernon has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Arts with a major in Studio Art from Oregon State University Cascades Campus she graduated with honors and won the distinguished student award class of 2022. Her aptitude for color and design have contributed to her lobby installations at the Oxford Collection of Hotels in Bend, Oregon. Kelley's paintings and linoleum prints have been purchased by the Oxford Collection of Hotels for boutique wine labels, beer pulls, and special occasion greeting cards.
Kelley has hung works at Central Oregon Community College's Rotunda and Pence galleries and at Oregon State University. Her award winning painting was used by Central Oregon Community College for The Foundation Scholarship fundraiser. She received the Fred and Retta Boyle Scholarship in 2018. and Transfer Connect Scholarship in 2019.
Kelley Vernon was born and raised in Bend, Oregon. Art has been an aspiration all her life but not one that was originally encouraged.
Making up for lost time Kelley spends every opportunity studying and creating art. Kelley also is an avid swimmer and hiker. Exploring the Pacific Northwest is a discipline that provides her spiritual connection with nature.
